Today's Plan: PlanBook
Yesterday, the State Superintendent of Public School, Tony Thurmond, our Governor, and all of the local superintendents met on a conference call. Out of that call, Mr. Thurmond released a letter in which he states "it appears that our students will not be able to return to school campuses before the end of the school year...", but what does that mean.

As with anything in life, what you put in is what you get out. It may be hard, but we must work to make our students accountable for their learning. As a parent, I struggle with my own child wanting to do his daily schoolwork (which he has about 3 hours per day.). We argue, he loses out, and we move on.

- The school year is NOT over. While we may not be able to return to HHSA, we still have work to do.
- It is more important than ever to be checking Planbook yourself and your kids, and holding your child accountable for doing their work. Make them show you what they did. Make sure the quality of the work is acceptable to you first.
- There is nothing I am giving as learning that has not been done at some time this year, some of it was done on a daily basis.
- Clever is our portal to almost all of our learning. While some of the things will automatically login, if it doesn't then they should be able to use their Google school login.
- While our conference calls so far have been about setting the stage for what is to come, we are only having about half of our students connecting.
- Make sure that we are all taking mental and physical breaks at home, keeping ourselves as mental and physically healthy during this time.
- Next week is spring break. I will be working on my own, but will NOT be accessible to students. Please limit the amount of schoolwork they do during this time. Hopefully this will prepare them for the next step in this process. When we return to learning after spring break, we will be expecting participation.
